Sultan May 1, 1989 – Sep 1, 2001 Sultan, graduate of Guide Dogs Victoria, Melbourne Australia was the first Labradoodle to serve as a guide dog who was a great worker and companion. He did everything with me, including climbing ladders!
Ramon May 19, 2019 Ramon, my trusted Chihuahua friend, was a reliable little companion. For twelve years, he served as something of a social critic, always issuing a shrill, ear-piercing warning to anyone brave enough to enter our home. It was a sad day when he took his last breath in May 2019, but I will forever fondly remember that little 9 lb. complainer.
Angela April 28, 2006 – June 27, 2020 Angela was my second guide dog from Guide Dogs for the Blind, helping to protect me for almost 10 years. She traveled over a quarter of a million miles with me, guiding me swiftly through airports, meetings and visiting friends. Though she was petite at 50 pounds, she had a huge personality. Angela lit up a room when she entered as if to say, “Hello, I’m here.” She was a vibrant, irrepressible, exuberant, and she certainly had the “joie de vivre till just before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I will always love you, dear Angela. Much aloha and a hui hou.
