During the course of a working relationship with a guide dog, it is natural to encounter behavioral and working concerns. For this, active guide dog handlers residing in Hawaii are encouraged to attend our annual Optimal Wellness Workshop where you can Engage in on-going education and strive for continuous improvement in your working relationship with your guide dog.
Orientation & Mobility Instructor (OMI) will be available to assist in between GDMI visits.
These free services are to promote safe and independent mobility. The instructors will provide possible solutions, new strategies and techniques and updated information that may help you to maintain safe and independent mobility. As a handler, it remains your responsibility to direct and control your dog.
